East Belfast is the city’s former industrial heartland. Since its Edwardian heyday it has lost many of the businesses that provided employment and defined the urban fabric of the area.

 

As part of a wider regeneration programme East Belfast Partnership have installed much public art, including bronzes by Ross Wilson and community originated murals.

 

To promote the work, both locally and to visitors, we were asked to develop an art trail map. In response, we created an informal piece of cartography with accompanying aesthetic interpretation that is regularly used by tour groups.
